Marc Suess

Marc Suess studied film and theatre at the City University of New York where he was playwright -in-residence of Theatre 81. He was later invited to study under Robert Bruestein at the Yale Repertory Theatre.

After touring internationally as founder and director of the original Anonymous Theatre, young Mr. Suess settled into the role of homesteader, husband and daddy playing tale spinner and storyteller to the first of four children. One day, a story on the screen of his mind transformed him into Dancing Bear and he inherited the mantle of the white bear of the Artic Circle. It is said, “Dancing Bear climbs the pole to the Northern star and leaps into the constellations…to the place where the stories come from”.

Guided by Spider Grandmother  --  encountered in a vision where she mended the hole in the Ozone layer  --  Marc Suess has been performing his original stories for children as Dancing Bear at Festivals and Schools & is presently reinventing himself on the World Wide Web by co-creating STORYWORLD at marcsuess.com
